Creative Media and Game Technologies - B.S.

University: Saxion University of Applied Sciences
Over the course of my four-year tenure studying in the Netherlands, I immersed myself in various disciplines, delving extensively into subjects such as animation, UI/UX design, cinematography, and modelling. The studies were primarily project-based, offering me a robust and comprehensive education in the principles and practices of these domains.
This approach enabled me to collaborate with a diverse array of professionals, further strengthening my abilities in the field of UX design. Throughout my studies, I contributed to several games, some of which were published internally and partially external. These hands-on experiences allowed me to develop a practical and nuanced understanding of the importance of user-centered design principles, and their role in driving meaningful and impactful user experiences.

2017 - 2021

3D Modeling

Throughout my academic journey, a significant portion of my coursework entailed the creation of 3D models for various projects. These models spanned a diverse range of objects, from bi-ped and quad-ped characters to cars, spaceships, and other items. My versatility and proficiency in this domain allowed me to undertake and execute these projects with precision and skill.
In addition to my 3D modelling abilities, I am also proficient in rigging and texturing my meshes. This enables me to develop highly realistic and visually appealing models, adding a layer of depth and dimension to my creations. My proficiency in rigging and texturing allows me to breathe life into my models, creating immersive and interactive environments that engage and captivate users.

Cinematography

In my professional and academic pursuits, my skills in cinematography have proven to be particularly invaluable, particularly when creating trailers or cutscenes. This skill set is crucial in crafting compelling narratives that engage and captivate audiences.
Over the years, I have invested significant time and effort into acquiring and refining my understanding of the principles and techniques of cinematography. I have learned extensively about composition, color theory, focal length, and animation, among other areas of focus. This breadth of knowledge allows me to create visually stunning sequences that convey the intended message while engaging users on a deeper level.

Projects

Throughout my university years, I had the opportunity to participate in a range of diverse projects that lasted between two to five weeks. These medium-sized projects were designed to challenge and educate us in various aspects of our fields of study, and often required us to think creatively to produce unique solutions.
While some of the projects were geared towards testing our creativity, many had an educational focus. One of the most valuable skills I gained during my time at university was the ability to apply gamification techniques to transform mundane tasks into engaging experiences. This skill has proved to be invaluable in my career as a professional, allowing me to create products that are both effective and enjoyable for users.

Video Editing

In the realm of product marketing, video editing plays an essential role in crafting engaging and compelling content. Over the years, I have invested significant time and effort into acquiring and refining my skills in this area, leveraging tools such as Premiere Pro to create visually stunning and captivating videos.
Through my experiences, I have developed a keen eye for detail and an acute understanding of the principles and techniques of video editing. This includes proficiency in the use of color correction, sound design, visual effects, and other related areas. These skills enable me to create videos that are not only visually stunning but also deeply impactful and engaging, effectively communicating the intended message to the target audience.

3D Animation

In the course of my studies, animation was an area of particular interest and focus for me. I have invested significant time and effort into developing my skills in 3D animation, which I have been able to apply across a range of contexts, including internships and study-related projects.
Through my experiences, I have developed a deep understanding of the principles and techniques of 3D animation. This includes proficiency in key areas such as rigging, key frame animation, motion graphics, and character animation, among others. I am also familiar with software and tools commonly used in the industry, such as Maya and Blender.
With this breadth and depth of knowledge and experience, I am able to create 3D animations that are visually stunning.

2D Animation/ Motion Design

2D animation and motion design are two of the key areas where I have developed a strong foundation of skills and expertise. Throughout my studies, I have devoted significant time and effort to learning the principles and techniques of these disciplines, and have been able to apply them in a range of contexts, including sprite sheet creation, motion graphics, and menu transitions.
In addition to mastering the technical aspects of 2D animation and motion design, I have also honed my creative skills in these areas. This includes developing a keen sense of timing and rhythm, as well as an eye for detail and aesthetics. I am skilled at conceptualizing, storyboarding, and executing animations that are not only visually engaging but also effective in communicating the desired message to the target audience.
My first animation, featuring the tiny robot, is a testament to my skills in this area. Through this and other projects, I have demonstrated my ability to create 2D animations that are both technically proficient and creatively compelling.
